The pool originally opened in 1988 as part of the $6.5 million recreation facility attached to Jefferson High School. "We have a board meeting on the 28th and we're hoping they approve (a bid) and we can start it and get it going." "We found a way to fix it that's affordable, but people have to have time to do it," Grow said. In additional comments made to the Monroe News this week, Grow said the district's board of education will likely select a company to handle the repair work at its next meeting on March 28.
